Taskmaster's Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont announce divorce

Taskmaster's Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont have announced their divorce after nine years of marriage.
Confirming the news with a joint statement on X (formerly Twitter), Richardson revealed that he and Beaumont have made the decision to "jointly and amicably" separate and have asked the public to respect their privacy following "the difficult decision to divorce".
"After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated," the statement began.
"We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways."

The pair went on to ask for privacy for their daughter going forward, adding: "As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being.
"We will be making no further comment."
The couple began dating in 2013, meeting through comedian Roisin Conaty. The pair later got married in April 2015 before welcoming their only child, a daughter, a year after in September 2016.
Richardson and Beaumont have starred in multiple TV projects together over the years, most notably Meet the Richardsons, which sees the pair play exaggerated versions of themselves, since 2020.
The pair also appeared on Channel 4's Celebrity Gogglebox on numerous occasions.
Comedian Richardson is known for his work on shows such as Taskmaster, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier. He has mostly recently appeared on BBC One gameshow The Wheel as an expert.

Meanwhile, Beaumont has appeared on shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News For You, Taskmaster and The Wheel.
She was also nominated for the BAFTA for Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme in 2023 for her work in Meet the Richardsons.
