Taste Of Vienna Returns In 2022 To Support Volunteer Fire Department

VIENNA, VA — After a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Taste of Vienna will return in 2022. The event will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department parking lot, 400 Center Street South, Vienna.

Taste of Vienna is both a fundraiser for the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department and a way to support local restaurants. The event is free, but proceeds from food and drink purchases will benefit the volunteer fire department. The volunteer fire department has existed for over 100 years and provides support to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department in fire, medical and other emergencies.

Vienna Volunteer Fire Department President Anthony Stancampiano started the event in 2012 to promote Vienna's various restaurants and fundraise for the volunteer fire department.

"After all these years, the Taste of Vienna is now a springtime Town favorite that helps the VVFD contribute to the small town feel Vienna is so lucky to have," Stancampiano said in a statement. "It has also become one of the VVFD’s biggest fundraisers."

At Taste of Vienna, attendees can try samples from restaurants and food trucks as well as wine and beer. Participating restaurants include Zenola, The Fermented Pig, Kay's Smoothies by Food Fest, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Ben & Jerry's, Caffe Amouri, Famous Dave's BBQ, Bansari Indian Cuisine, Family of Nuts, Grove, Inca Social, Vocelli Pizza of Vienna, La Campesina Bar & Grill, Rita's Italian Ice, Bubble Mochi, Burapa Thai & Bar, and London Chippy. Participating food trucks are Empanadas De Mendoza, Himalayan Soul Foods, Kaye's Mini Doughnuts, and Kona Ice.

Along with enjoying tastes, attendees can hear live music and children's activities, including a bounce house and face painting. The live music schedule includes The Coozies from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Six Lead Clovers from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Hall Vote from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., The Nightwork Band from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Gunsmoke & Cheap Perfume from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Advance ticket sales have ended for beer, wine and the bounce house, but tickets will be available at the event. For more information, visit tasteofvienna.com.
