Start Your Day Right: 3 Tasty Breakfast Ideas

The most important meal of the day can sometimes be the most stressful one. Whether you’re late for work or your fridge is almost empty, mornings shouldn’t be one more worry! Read on to check out three tasty breakfast ideas that will leave you looking forward to your alarm going off…

Healthy Pancakes

These pancakes not only taste incredible, but are really good for you too! They only have three core ingredients and then you can add whatever extra you want to them…

You Will Need (serves two)

  • 2 Medium Eggs

  • 2 Ripe Bananas

  • 50g of Porridge Oats

To Make

  • Mash the banana then mix in the egg and the porridge oats until the mixture resembles pancake batter

  • Ladle spoonfuls of the mixture into a griddle pan and cook on each side for around 2-3 minutes. (If you’re adding in fruit then this is the time to do it)

  • Serve and enjoy!

Cranberry & Almond Granola

Stored in an airtight jar, this granola will last ages and be on hand to eat for breakfast or add to yogurts whenever it’s needed.

You Will Need

  • 500g of Porridge Oats

  • 100g of Dried Cranberries

  • 100g of Flaked Almonds

  • 3 tbsps of Golden Syrup

To Make

  • Mix all the dry ingredients together in a bowl

  • Add the syrup and stir until combined. The mixture should be a sticky consistency

  • Place on a baking tray and bake at 180 for 20 minutes

  • After 20 minutes, take the mixture out and stir with a spoon

  • Then, put the tray back in the oven, check and stir at 10 minute intervals until golden brown

  • Leave to cool down and then transfer into an airtight jar or container

Cashew Porridge

A good old-fashioned way to start the day, porridge is filling and nutritious but sometimes needs to be jazzed up to make it taste a bit more exciting.

You Will Need

  • 1 Mugful of oats or oat bran

  • 2 Mugfuls of Cashew milk

  • Fruit and mixed seeds (to decorate)

To Make

  • Mix the oats and milk together in a saucepan

  • Cook on a low heat until your desired consistency is reached

  • Top with fruit, nuts or something sweet if required!
