Tasty Tuesday delayed one week

Feb. 24—Richmond residents' tastebuds will have to wait a bit longer for the city's newest event, Tasty Tuesday.

Because of inclement weather, the Richmond Parks Department has delayed the debut of the gathering.

Tasty Tuesday was announced in February as a new idea to bring into the city of Richmond while supporting the community at the same time.

It would consist of food trucks signing up for an evening to park at Irvine McDowell Park to serve dinner to participants.

Originally, the first event was scheduled to be held on March 2. However, because of weather that closed the city's offices for over a week, both the deadline for submissions and the first event have been delayed.

The deadline for vendors to sign up for the Tasty Tuesday event has been extended until Friday, Feb. 26.

The first Tasty Tuesday will be held on March 9 at Irvine McDowell.
