Need a tattoo removed? Merced County will do it for free

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Have a tattoo that holds you back from a golden opportunity? The Merced County Probation Department wants to help.

The department is working with Mobile Tattoo Removal Experts, formerly known as Ink Off Me, to help those who need it get free tattoo removals.

The organization works with agencies across the country to provide mobile tattoo removal services at various correctional facilities, probation departments, and non-profit organizations.

The next free tattoo removal sessions will be available at the Pre-Trial, Intake, and Investigations building located at 777 West 22nd Street in Merced on the following dates:

  • April 3

  • May 1

  • June 5

Officials say all services will be provided from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to probation clients and community members who want tattoos removed from visible areas.
