Tatum surprises assistant coach with jersey retirement

TATUM, Texas (KETK) — The Tatum Eagles have a storied basketball history, and on Tuesday night, they took some time to honor one of the best to ever to wear green.

Jayme Bradley currently serves as assistant coach for the Tatum boys team, but before their game against Troup, they surprised him, by retiring his number.

In the 2002-2003 season, as a player for Tatum, Bradley hit 171 threes, which at the time was the third most in the nation for high school basketball.

He has carried the tradition of Tatum basketball as a player, a coach, and a father, since his son Jacorie, is the current starting point guard.

It was an amazing moment for everyone in the arena.

As for the games themselves, the Tatum boys beat Troup 72-37, while the Tatum girls won 55-24.
