Taunton has 3rd worst week of pandemic overall, despite slight dip in new COVID cases

TAUNTON — Though there was a slight dip in new COVID cases reported in the city over the past week, it was still Taunton's third worst week of the pandemic overall.

The latest weekly report from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, released on Thursday, recorded more than 2,000 new COVID cases across the Greater Taunton area: 2,376.

Hospitalizations due to COVID
