"Just seeing the cover of 'A Farewell to Arms,' Mark Twain's portrait, or Virginia Woolf's famous purple signature fills me with fond memories of flipping through pages, lost in masterpieces. And I know I'm not the only one," the seller states.

So he put his love of reading to creative use with his Etsy shop, which features unique items that are full of charm — from canvas bags to keychains to statuettes to wooden wall tiles.

But his signature item is the Writer's Block — handmade odes to history's greatest writers and historical figures. TartagliaFarm, based in Taunton, features fun additions to your home. Here you'll find everything from wooden holiday door hangers and signs to ornaments, rustic farmhouse decor and, for the kiddos, a specially crafted milk and cookies tray for Santa, to make sure the big guy and his reindeer get their treats on Christmas night.

HappyHopsFarm (Taunton)

This local shop proves hops are for more than just beer.

HappyHopsFarm is a small hop farm operated by a husband and wife team in Taunton, where several varieties of hops are grown to supply to local craft breweries. They are also used in handmade natural soap, candles, skin care, lip balms and more for sale in their Etsy shop.

Farm owners also gather brewers' spent grains to make dog treats, which you can order for your furry friend.

Attention tea drinkers: the shop sells a loose leaf hop tea blend, made from their farm-grown hops, with high amounts of antioxidants that are said to offer numerous health benefits.

"We love hops here on our hop farm and sometimes we want to enjoy the benefits of the hops in other things than just beer," the seller states. "They have been used in teas for hundreds of years for the aid in many ailments."

This shop has one-of-a-kind gems that will turn heads, but not break the bank.

What began as a hobby and "something to do" soon grew into a passion, according to Taunton-based seller Jennifer's page, and now she loves sharing her beautiful, yet affordable creations with others. The shop features handmade necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, jewelry sets "each piece unique and different from the next."

IllustrateChrissy (Taunton)

At IllustrateChrissy, you'll find the fun, original designs of Taunton illustrator and artist Chrissy.

A self-proclaimed lover of dogs, nature and video games, her collection of stickers and magnets — which are hand drawn, digitally colored, printed and hand cut in her studio — feature many of her favorite things.

Whether it's "Animal Crossing," cuddly animals, or holiday themed stickers you seek, this shop has it. And they make a cute addition to any notebook, diary, planner, laptop or refrigerator.

According to her seller page, Chrissy earned her BFA in Visual Design and Illustration at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and has since been "chasing my dream of being a self-employed illustrator."
