Taunton resident named to RI Hospitality Education Foundation 2022 Board of Directors

CRANSTON, RI — Taunton resident Kim Paquette has been named to the RI Hospitality Education Foundation 2022 Board of Directors.

Paquette has nearly 18 years of industry experience and has been the human resources manager of the Omni Providence Hotel since 2016.

In 2004, she began her career working the front desk at Walt Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. From there, she returned to Massachusetts and received an associate degree in hospitality management from Cape Cod Community College. While pursuing her studies, she worked at the Sheraton Boston Hotel as a housekeeping supervisor. After graduation, she returned to Florida and worked at The Dolphin Resort and the Hilton Grand Vacations SeaWorld. In 2011, she worked at the Hilton Providence before joining the Omni.

“Kim’s wealth of relevant experience and demonstrated dedication to our industry make her a valuable addition to the Education Foundation’s Board of Directors in 2022,” Dale J. Venturini, president/CEO of the RI Hospitality Association/RI Hospitality Education Foundation, said in a press release. “As RIHA and RIHEF continue to navigate the pandemic and the challenges facing our industry, we look forward to collaborating with our new board members to achieve our common goals, restore consumer confidence, and support and strengthen our businesses and workforce.”
