PORTSMOUTH — A special Saint Nicholas Taverna is planned for Saturday, Nov. 4, from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Jarvis Center on 40 Andrew Jarvis Drive in Portsmouth. The event will feature authentic Greek food, live music by Dilina and dancing. The Taverna night, presented by the families of the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, is another one of the special events celebrating Portsmouth’s 400th. Hope for Shantytown: A History of Dover Housing Authority

DOVER — For the past 70 years, the Dover Housing Authority has been working behind the scenes to further the city’s development. On Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m., learn more about the organization’s storied history in the presentation “Hope for Shantytown: A History of Dover Housing Authority” at the Dover Public Library. Benefit concert for Dover food program

DOVER — Internationally renowned keyboard artist Hector Olivera will play a benefit concert for the local non-profit summer food insufficiency program, Grab and Go, at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15. Olivera will play on the large and versatile organ in the First Parish Church, 218 Central Ave in Dover.
