Taylor County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 45% of people fully vaccinated

Some 45% of people living in Taylor County are fully vaccinated as of Jan. 25, according to data from Texas Department of State Health Services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Texas reported 6,050,828 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 7% from the week before.

The five counties with the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Texas as of Jan. 25 are Presidio County (85%), Webb County (85%), Starr County (84%), Maverick County (82%) and Hudspeth County (80%).
