Brayden Taylor continued his monster postseason run with another strong performance in TCU’s opening game of the NCAA Tournament.

Taylor tallied four hits, hit a home run and drove in six runs to lead the Horned Frogs to a 12-4 win over Arizona in the Fayetteville Regional Friday night. TCU will advance to face host Arkansas on Saturday at 8 p.m. on ESPN+. The Razorbacks rolled Santa Clara 13-6 in the first game of the day.

Arizona jumped on TCU early with two runs in the top of the first, but the Horned Frogs immediately responded behind Taylor’s three-run home run. Shortstop Anthony Silva drove in another run to close the inning with TCU ahead 4-2.

Taylor made it 6-2 in the bottom of the second with a single up the middle that scored Karson Bowen and Elijah Nunez. Arizona cut it to 6-3 in the top of the fourth with a solo home run, but TCU scored the next three runs to essentially put the game away.

Other standouts from the game include Tre Richardson who had three hits and two doubles along with Bowen who also had three hits and a RBI. Austin Davis drove in a run and had a highlight catch that was one of the best defensive plays made by an outfielder this season.

The Horned Frogs are now 15-2 in their last 17 games and one of the most dangerous teams in the postseason.

The Wildcats will face Santa Clara with the loser being eliminated from the postseason. The winner will face the loser of TCU-Arizona.
