Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan's heart was in the right place.

His tweet on Tuesday night was not.

The Nashville Predators had a disastrous first period, a 5-0 deficit, en route to a 7-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche in Denver in Game 1 of the first round of the 2022 NHL Playoffs first round.

The Predators tweeted out, simply, "2-0" after the Avalanche's second goal, which came 22 seconds after their first and just 2 minutes, 42 seconds into the game.

"Nashville! Hockey town," Lewan tweeted out.

The score was Avalanche 2, Predators 0.

"taylor we're not winning," the Predators' Twitter account replied.

"I really feel mislead here ... I feel like we should have said 0-2. right?" Lewan replied again.

First, Lewan's score ethics are incorrect. 0-2 is not a proper score; a baseball can go 0-2 at the plate, but a hockey score isn't 0-2. It's 2-0. The Predators lost Tuesday by a 7-2 score.

Lewan has been a frequent fan at Predators playoff games in the past, with beer and catfish often in tow. Lewan also was present around the team during February's Stadium Series game, riding with the team on party buses to Nissan Stadium and being on the ice for a ceremonial puck drop.

Not every fan has to be glued to the TV three minutes into every hockey game, even in the postseason with a later start time.

But here's betting Lewan double checks the score the next time he tweets about a Predators game.
