Taylor Swift Is Being Praised For Using Inclusive Language During Her Eras Tour Performance
Last night, Taylor Swift kicked off her record-breaking Eras Tour. She did 16 costume changes, performed 44 songs, and ultimately served beyond belief.
And Taylor is going viral for one moment in particular, when she was adjusting her dress.
"Just trying to look nice for my guys and gals and non-binary pals," Taylor said in the video, which has almost 600,000 views in less than 24 hours.

People loved her use of inclusive language, especially from a person of her star power:
@folklaurens i started tearing up at the “non binary pals” idk why
“just trying to look nice for my guys and gals and non-binary pals” TAYLOR SWIFT I FUCKING LOVE YOU
“Non-binary pals” ❤️Hearing Taylor Swift mention anything gender related to a crowd of almost 70K people is very heartwarming. Someone in that crowd felt validated and that’s all that matters right now. https://t.co/WTrBR6e8s4
Taylor saying “guys and gals and non-binary pals” means SO much it’s a small gesture but the impact is so big I love her
taylor mentioning non-binary people actually means so much fr
This isn't the first time she's spoken about or shown that she's an ally. During her Wango Tango set in 2019, Taylor gave an impassioned speech about equality. "Who you love, how you identify, you should be able to live your life the way you want to live your life."
