Love her, hate her, be indifferent. Doesn't matter. Taylor Swift moves the needle.

So it's probably no surprise that the world's most famous pop star is now being accused of playing a part in the outcome of the country's biggest sporting event — the Super Bowl.

Huh? Try following.

Swift is dating Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, who earned a trip to the Feb. 10 Super Bowl in Las Vegas where they will play the San Francisco 49ers.

There's a conspiracy theory out there that claims Swift's relationship to Kelce is made up, to drum up attention for when she eventually will publicly support Joe Biden for president. That's why, the theories claim, the NFL has fixed games to allow Kansas City to go to the big game.

Don't believe me? Just follow former Republican primary candidate Vikek Ramaswamy on X, formerly Twitter. Pretty sure he's referring to the power couple.

“I wonder who’s going to win the Super Bowl next month,” Ramaswamy posted on X. “And I wonder if there’s a major presidential endorsement coming from an artificially culturally propped-up couple this fall.”

As the New York Times reports, other conspiracy theories from the MAGA world include Swift being a secret agent of the Pentagon and that her relationship with Kelce is fake to boost the NFL or COVID vaccines or Democrats.

Mmmm. The NFL made about $12 billion in 2022, according to Forbes, so not sure they're dying for dollars, BUT Kelce has done TV ads for COVID vaccines, so ...

Conservative political commentator Mike Crispi claimed the NFL is “rigged” and is out to promote Democrats, the Times reported. “Calling it now: KC wins, goes to Super Bowl, Swift comes out at the halftime show and ‘endorses’ Joe Biden with Kelce at midfield," he said right before Sunday's AFC Championship game which the Chiefs won fair and square against the Baltimore Ravens to propel them to the Super Bowl.

More: Will Taylor Swift attend Super Bowl 58 to cheer on Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce?

Keep in mind Swift has not yet publicly supported any candidate for president this election cycle. She did, however, publicly support Biden over Trump in 2020.

Maybe the MAGA world is just worried she will make her pick. They know that she does have the power (hello 279 million Instagram followers). In fact, in September, on National Voter Registration Day, Swift encouraged her fans to register to vote on Instagram. When all was said and done, she was credited with encouraging 35,000 people nationwide to sign up to vote.

Now that's voter motivation.

And a reason to cheer (or fear) what Swift might do next.

As for the MAGA crowd, they can always root for the San Francisco 49ers, who are known in political circles as Nancy Pelosi's favorite team.
