Taylor Swift had a big night at the 2021 Brit Awards on Tuesday when she became the first woman to ever win the Awards' Global Icon Honor. Of course, fans were excited for Taylor to take home the much-deserved honor, but they were even more excited about the speech she made while accepting it.

Taylor started off by thanking everyone who was in a video that presented her with the award, which included her BFF, Selena Gomez. "That video, anyone who was in that video, Selena, Zoe, Ed, Griff," she said. "That was like 1,000 surprise birthday parties where all your friends are like jumping out like 'ahh' and you’re just like, 'this is the best.'"

In the video, Selena says that "Taylor is the same girl I met when I was 15...she cares so deeply for her fans."

Later in her speech, Taylor also takes a moment to "thank the amazing creative people," who helped her with Folklore and Evermore, including Joe Alwyn, her boyfriend. It was actually announced recently that Joe received a Grammy for his work on Folklore.

The moment was notable, mostly because Taylor doesn't talk about Joe publicly very often and hasn't mentioned him since she gave him a shoutout in her Grammy acceptance speech in March.

And, if you thought Taylor's night couldn't get any better, she topped it off by officially meeting one of her "children," Olivia Rodrigo, in person. Ugh, what I would have done to be there.
