Taylor Swift has had few guests on the Eras Tour. Here's who could show up at MetLife

Bruce Springsteen will not be joining Taylor Swift on stage at MetLife Stadium during her three-show Eras Tour stand Friday, May 26, to Sunday, May 28.

But the Boss knows her, and is a fan — once telling Howard Stern that she's "super talented" and "a tremendous writer." Springsteen told Jimmy Fallon that he’s going to an All Eras show, but he has his own shows with the E Street Band in Amsterdam this weekend.

So far, there have been only three guests to join Swift on stage during the Eras Tour, which began March 17 in Arizona. Marcus Mumford joined in March 25 in Las Vegas for “Cowboy Like Me”; Aaron Dessner played on three shows; and opener Phoebe Bridgers for multiple shows for the track “Nothing New.”

Bridgers is opening the MetLife shows, so it wouldn't be a surprise if she joined in this weekend. But in Jersey, you have to be ready for anything — and that anything is an extra surprise or two at the big shows. As the Swift Eras Tour shows at MetLife Stadium are very big shows, here are a few Jersey guest star possibilities:

Jack Antonoff

Antonoff, a Bergen County native, first collaborated with Swift on the 2013 single “Sweeter Than Fiction” for the “One Chance” soundtrack, and they're been making hit records ever since. Antonoff is very proud of her Jersey roots — his Shadow of the City fest is a celebration of all things Garden State.

If Antonoff does appear, it will be on Friday as Bleachers plays the Adjacent Festival in Atlantic City on Saturday, and the band has their own headlining show in Boston on Monday.

“Fans” have conjured up friction between Swift and SZA, a Maplewood native, due to their 2022 albums, “Midnights” and “SOS,” respectively, battling it out on the charts. They both have expressed love for each other on social media and shared a hug at the Grammys. A SZA surprise at MetLife would seal the deal.

Halsey

Halsey and Swift have a history. Hasley, aka Ashley Nicolette Frangipane of Clark, called out Swift for not using her platform to speak out about social and political issues in 2018. The relationship has warmed up since then, with both sharing praise for each other's work on social media.

Halsey, a new mom, recently joined Suga from BTS on stage in Los Angeles. A Swift surprise in her home state would make headlines.

Joe Jonas

Are Jonas and Swift “Cool,” as Jonas said recently to the “Armchair Expert” podcast? A guest appearance at a MetLife All Eras show would confirm that.

Jonas briefly dated Swift in 2008 before he broke it off over the phone during a 25-second call, Swift told Ellen DeGeneres. She's written several songs about the incident. Would it be post-ironic if Jonas, a native of Montvale, joined Swift on stage to sing one of them?

Her dad can't make it, so how about a guest appearance by Jessica Springsteen?

She's a fan, Bruce has said.

Jessica has danced on stage with Bruce and the E Street Band, so she knows what it's like to be on stage in front of thousands of people. Plus, she won a silver medal at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with the U.S. equestrian team — she won’t falter in the big moment.

“My daughter, a Taylor Swift fan to the max, the other day ago I pick her up at the airport,” said Springsteen to Howard Stern. “She says, ‘Dad, Taylor Swift has got a banging new record!’ I was like, ‘So we got a banging new record? Alright.’ And plays it for me, top volume, all the way from Newark to Colts Neck, dancing in her seat. I said, ‘That’s what I like to see.’ It felt good alright.”
