With a house in Rhode Island, Taylor Swift is very familiar with New England.

It's even made its way into one of her songs, "The Last Great American Dynasty."

The song is a part of her set list. If you are one of the lucky ones who scored tickers for her shows on Friday, May 19, Saturday, May 20, and Sunday, May 21 at Gillette Stadium, here's what you should know about the song's history.

Whats the Rhode Island connection to 'The Last Great American Dynasty?'

While dreaming up her eighth studio Folklore album during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Swift was inspired by the history of her home in Westerly (home to the famous 4th of July party) to write the song "The Last Great American Dynasty."

Prior to Swift, the house was owned by Rebekah Harkness, a divorcée who famously married into the Standard Oil fortune in 1947. Swift declares a kind-of kinship with Harkness in the song, who was known for antics like cleaning her pool with Dom Pérignon, her relationship with artist Salvador Dali, and dyeing her pet green, relating, it seems to Harkness's reputation.

Here's how Swift put it in her lyrics.

What might Swift play as part of her surprise two songs?

Built into her 44-song list are two surprise acoustic songs that change every show: Number 36 and Number 37.

The rules of the game, as outlined so far, are that she won't repeat the selections unless it's a song from her latest studio album "Midnights." She has over 200 songs in her collection and it's a 52-date run, so it's more than feasible.

For this show, there's speculation that she will play "Sparks Fly" as her Gillette Stadium performance of the show was used in her music video, "Long Live" which she once played in the pouring rain there,

Correction: The article originally speculated "The Last Great American Dynasty" might be one of her surprise songs. The song is in the set list.
