Music City joined locales, including New York City, London and Sao Paulo, Brazil for reveals of lyrics from the country-favorite vocalist's upcoming tenth studio album set for release on October 21, 2022, via Republic Records.

Spotify purchased billboard space on the Vastland real estate company's building at 1720 West End Ave to reveal the lyrics "Did you ever have someone kiss you in a crowded room," which will be on one of the album's thirteen tracks written by Swift with collaborators including her frequent album partner Jack Antonoff, plus names recently revealed to include William Bowers, Sam Dew, Zoë Kravitz, Mark Anthony Spears, Jahaan Sweet and Keanu Torres.

"Listeners around the world have spent many a midnight with Taylor Swift. Through life's triumphs, celebrations, and hardships, Taylor's music and lyrics have always been a source of comfort when the clock strikes 12 and beyond," noted the DSP via a press release. For the next 48 hours, Spotify will partner with Swift for exclusive lyric reveals worldwide. As well, clips of Swift discussing the album will be available on the mobile-only pre-save page associated with the release.

"We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren't – right this minute – about to make some fateful life-altering mistake," stated Swift via social media upon announcing the album's release on September 28. "This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … we'll meet ourselves."

Swift's 12th album follows re-recorded "Taylor's Version" takes on her 2008 album "Fearless" and 2012's "Red," both released in 2021. The recently-named Nashville Songwriter Association International (NSAI) Co-Songwriter of the Decade (alongside Ashley Gorley) had been re-recording part of her catalog of material released while she was signed to Big Machine Records from 2006-2018. However, "Midnights" is expected to consist of entirely new material, her first since 2020's "Folklore" and "Evermore" releases.
