Taylor Swift Sent Gigi Hadid’s Baby Girl the Sweetest Handmade Present

Taylor Swift's “Invisible String” lyrics—“Cold was the steel of my ax to grind / For the boys who broke my heart / Now I send their babies presents”—apparently doesn't apply just to exes. 

After embroidering a silk baby blanket for Daisy Bloom, daughter of Orlando Bloom and former frenemy Katy Perry, Swift sent another blanket to new parents Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik for their newborn daughter, whose name hasn't yet been released. 

Hadid posted a picture of her little girl (well, her hand anyway) to her Instagram Stories on Friday evening, tagging “aunties” Donatella Versace and Swift for gifting the baby an adorable sweatshirt and “auntie” pink blanket, respectively. Seems safe to assume there's some needlework we aren't seeing, but even still, super cute.

Swift is a friend to both halves of the Zigi super-couple. Hadid was in Swift's music video for “Bad Blood” way back in 2015, and Swift and Malik dueted on 2017's “I Don't Wanna Live Forever,” the lead single from the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.

Swift and Versace aren't the only A-listers to congratulate the couple with gifts. Hadid took to Instagram Stories again to thank designer Tommy Hilfiger for a gorgeous flower arrangement. Maybe the next Tommy X GiGi capsule collection will be baby stuff in a classic, sporty American style? Just a thought.

For his part, Malik hasn't shown off any baby gifts, but he posted the sweetest message alongside a black-and-white photo announcing his daughter's birth. “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful🙏🏽,” he wrote earlier this week. “❤️To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x.” 

After all, loving parents is the best gift a kid can get…though a silk blanket from Taylor Swift comes awfully close.
