Taylor Swift Totally Nailed Bridesmaid Chic As Her BFF’s Maid Of Honour

It’s been quite a week for Taylor Swift. Fresh from celebrating her swept-the-board success at last Monday’s Grammys, she hot-footed it back to home town Pennsylvania to crack open the bubbly once more at her BFF Britany Maack’s wedding to Benjamin LaManna.
And while she is well used to being centre stage, this time Taylor took a more supporting role serving as maid of honour for her childhood pal. But in a stunning embellished blush-pink gown from couture bridalwear designer, Reem Acra, who also designed the bride’s dress, Taylor looked every bit as beautiful as the bride herself. Featuring a hand-embroidered cap-sleeve bodice and floor-length chiffon skirt, as well as a similar plunging neckline to the bride, Taylor shunned more traditional style bridesmaid’s dresses in favour of something with a little more Swifty sparkle.

Taylor and Britany had originally spotted the dresses in Vogue a few months earlier so Taylor set about contacting the designer show room. Well who’s going to say no to designing a bespoke dress for Taylor Swift?
Speaking before the big day Taylor talked about her upcoming role as a bridesmaid for her bestie.
“I’ve never been a maid of honour before,” she said. “This is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born. And she’s marrying someone I’ve known since I was 4.”

Sharing a group photo of the big day to her Instagram as well as a cute throwback picture of the pair as kids Taylor wrote, “I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now they’re married and I’m the happiest maid of honor ever. Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!”
