Anyone who watches “Project Runway” knows that when it comes to fashion, the client is what really matters.

When that client is the biggest pop star on the planet, who just happens to be dating an NFL superstar, having your design grace her shoulders is guaranteed to create a cosmic moment.

And so it was for Towson University graduate Kristin Juszczyk, whose custom-designed jacket was worn by Taylor Swift at Saturday night’s NFL wild card game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins.

The jacket, a handmade, bright-red puffer featuring the number of Swift’s sweetheart — No. 87 Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce — landed on social media with all of the scrutiny of a glam Dior debut.

Juszczyk, the 29-year-old wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback and former Raven Kyle Juszczyk, was swiftly hailed as a fashion design queen who should be designing for the NFL.

The 2016 Towson grad majored in business and marketing but transferred to the school from University of Rhode Island, where she focused on fashion. Towson’s alumni relations were quick to congratulate Juszczyk on Saturday night as pictures of Swift in her jacket trended on social media.

On Sunday, Juszczyk took to social media to say having Swift wear her design was “an honor of a lifetime” and “They look incredible in them! Wow! This is such a pinch-me moment!”

In a TikTok video, Juszczyk said that the jackets — including one worn by Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has been seen cheering in the skybox alongside Swift — were made entirely from NFL jerseys and that her goal was comfort amid the extreme cold at Arrowhead Stadium, where temperatures dipped well below freezing.

“I wanted to keep the girlies warm since I heard this could potentially be the coldest NFL game in history,” she said, explaining that she added extra puff and a heavy liner to the jacket. “Beauty doesn’t always have to be pain, right?” Juszczyk said.

Other NFL players and their wives have worn Juszczyk’s designs, including puffer vests worn by 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel and a Green Bay-themed vest worn by Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, whose husband, Jonathan Owens, plays for the Packers.

Juszczyk’s designs might not be licensed for the NFL, but many on social media encouraged the league to consider partnering with her on a clothing line for football fashionistas. Either way, fans will no doubt be seeing more of the Swift look as designed by Juszczyk.

Her husband’s team, the 49ers, join the NFL playoffs next weekend, as do the Ravens. By then, the forecast for Baltimore looks chilly with temperatures near or below freezing, perfect weather for a custom puffer.

Maybe Lamar Jackson or Odell Beckham Jr.’s girlfriends — whoever they are — will want some Swift swag.
