New TD Bank location opens with community space for local small business owners

The ribbon has officially been cut for the grand opening of TD Bank’s newest branch in Charlotte.

On the corner of Beatties Ford Road and Lasalle Street, the new branch has dedicated space for small business owners to meet with clients or host events for free.

“When you go inside, you’ll find a traditional bank lobby, but you’ll also find adjacent to that lobby, about a thousand square feet of community space,” said Hugh Allen, the Regional President of TD Bank.

The community store format is designed to help Charlotte’s local leaders provide job trainings or financial literacy events, according to the press release from the bank.

To celebrate the grand opening, the bank threw a family-friendly event with a DJ, food trucks, and a performance from the West Charlotte Drumline.

This location is the third branch in Charlotte. The bank plans to open 15 more banks in the Charlotte area by 2025.
