Tea shop in Woodstock closing after 24 years
Oct. 26—Tea Leaves and Thyme is closing its tearoom and restaurant after 24 years in business, the tea shop announced Monday.
The downtown Woodstock business is located at 1331 Fields Chapel Rd., in the historic Dawson House. The business serves as a tearoom, restaurant, and gift shop, offering over 70 varieties of loose-leaf tea, full luncheon menu, birthday party location, and a bridal and baby shower destination, according to its website.
"It is bittersweet and I am filled with so many emotions...yes, we are closing on October 30. I have sold the property and will be retiring," the Tea Leaves and Thyme Facebook page said. "Stay tuned to Facebook for more details and how you can still purchase teas from us!"
Kim Jordy opened Tea Leaves and Thyme in Woodstock at her first location with the help of her friend, Suzanna Spollen, according to the tea shop's website.
The tea shop is closed Mondays, and did not respond to a request for comment.
