Fighting their way from the Lower Brackets, Team HAQ took the out Mobile Legends Professional League Malaysia (MPL MY) defending champions Todak in style.

Taking place in front of a 10,000 strong audience, the offline playoffs took place at Quill City Mall Concourse in Kuala Lumpur over the weekend.

Team HAQ, comprising of ex-Orange Esports players, lost 2-0 to their former teammates earlier in the playoffs.

However, the squad bounced back to take its next few series against RED Esports MY and RSG Malaysia 2-0.

A rematch against Orange Esports saw HAQ winning it 3-1 to book a place in the final against Todak.

While the best-of-7 series started out even, with HAQ claiming the early 2-0 lead, Todak fought back to tie it 2-2. However, HAQ recovered after its two losses, and proceeded to win the next game to put it to match point.

With their confidence regained, HAQ made an unorthodox move with an Eudora pick, and proceeded to stomp Todak in just 10 minutes and 26 seconds to clinch the title.

The MPL MY S10 win meant that HAQ takes home a quarter (US$25,000) of the US$100,000 prize pool, while Todak has to settle for half that amount at US$12,500.

Unlike MPL SG S4 though, the top two winners of this season will proceed to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship M4 taking place in Jakarta in January.
