A source inside Baltimore City Hall tells the 11 News I-Team that the mayor's chief of staff is no longer serving in that position. Chezia Cager is no longer chief of staff to Mayor Brandon Scott, the I-Team has learned. Amid reports that mayoral spokesman Cirilo Manego is no longer in that role, 11 News was unable to confirm Manego's status despite multiple calls and emails. Manego started in the role in February. Including the mayor himself, no city official would confirm whether Manego and Cager were fired outright, put on some sort of leave or reassigned elsewhere within city government.
