City manager Thomas J. Sheridan will give the annual State of the City Address on Feb. 22 at The Country Club of Hudson.

Registrations for the event through the Hudson Chamber of Commerce at https://business.explorehudson.com.

Those unable to attend in person can watch the address online at https://hudson.oh.us and on the city's social media platforms, where video will be published post event.

"At the heart of my State of the City Address is the importance of teamwork, a crucial factor in delivering top-notch services to our citizens," Sheridan stated on his published updates on the city's website. "Our dedicated team of city employees are what make it all happen."

One project for 2024 that Sheridan said he would highlight is the implementation of adaptive traffic signals.

"In response to concerns raised by residents in the Comprehensive Plan Community Survey regarding traffic flow, we are leveraging fiber technology to introduce real-time adjustments to traffic lights," Sheridan stated. "This helps ensure efficient traffic control and reduce travel times. Unlike our current traffic timing system, which relies on manual studies, adaptive signals process data in real-time."

Registration and breakfast start at 8:30 a.m., and the presentation starts at 9 a.m.

The Country Club of Hudson is at 2155 Middleton Road. For details, call 330-650-0621 or email info@hudsoncoc.org.
