Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is the keynote speaker for next month’s Ad Astra Technology Summit in Wichita.

Wozniak, who designed the Apple I computer in 1975, will speak after a day of conference workshops at Wichita State University’s Barton School of Business on Oct. 2. His 6 p.m. keynote will be at Koch Arena.

People who buy a ticket before Sept. 25 will be entered into a drawing for a chance to meet Wozniak, according to a Visit Wichita news release.

“Wichita is a place where individual entrepreneurial dreams are encouraged and realized,” Visit Wichita President Susie Santo said in the release.

The technology summit is described as “a whirlwind of innovation, networking and groundbreaking discoveries.”

“With stakeholders from industry, education, workforce development, startups, and government, this summit is the crucible for groundbreaking collaborations,” the release states.

Tickets for Wozniak’s speech start at $99 and tickets for the conference and speech start at $200.
