Common repairs like cracked screens, battery issues and water damage can be completed in two hours or less.

The company, formerly known as uBreakiFix, represents a retail brand operated and franchised by a subsidiary of the tech care company Asurion.

The company has more than 700 stores across the country.

"We all rely on our phones and laptops more than ever before, and our mission is bigger than repairing shattered screens and broken charger ports," said Barbuto. "We fix tech issues because people depend on it to stay connected to things that are important to them."

The store can provide fixes for nearly any device regardless of make or model, including authorized repairs for Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Customers can book a repair appointment online or receive walk-in service at the store.

"The world runs on tech, now more than ever," Molly Livingston, a spokesperson for the company. "Our smartphones hold everything from our contacts, calendar and photos to our passwords and banking information."

"If that device breaks, it's a panic moment," she added.

“We understand how important our devices are, and more importantly, we know how frustrating it can be when they break,” said Stephen Olliver, the Gastonia store owner.

Olliver also owns locations in Charlotte and Greenville, South Carolina.

All former uBreakiFix locations in the United States will rebrand as Asurion Tech Repair and Solutions throughout this year.

The store is currently open and will be operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
