Former Texas Tech linebacker Colin Schooler is one of 40 players in the Buffalo Bills' rookie minicamp that started Friday.

Schooler, not selected in the recent NFL draft, is one of 20 players in the camp on a tryout basis. Another is Ja'Marcus Ingram, a former Tech defensive back who finished his college career last season as an 11-game starter at the University at Buffalo.

Schooler's 106 tackles and 10 quarterback pressures last season were team highs. He also had 7 1/2 tackles for loss, five pass breakups, three fumbles caused, two sacks and an interception.

Also in the Bills' rookie minicamp are eight draft picks, nine undrafted free agents and three first-year players.

Buffalo went 11-6 during the 2021 regular season, winning the AFC East Division. The Bills beat New England in the wild-card round of the playoffs and lost to Kansas City in the divisional round.
