Tecumseh girls lacrosse falls to Ann Arbor Skyline

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh girls lacrosse continued to battle through a tough season as it dropped a Southeastern Conference matchup with Ann Arbor Skyline, 12-3.

Avah Holland scored one goal and had an assist while Grace Holland and Hanah Peters each scored as well.

Jili Koeppe made 12 saves in net.

Tecumseh is now 0-10 on the season.

BOYS LACROSSE

Tecumseh 19, Monroe SMCC 6: At Tecumseh, the boys lacrosse team won its season-best third-straight game as it beat St. Mary Catholic Central by 13 goals.

It was the most goals for Tecumseh this season, besting Monday's 18-goal output against Ypsilanti Lincoln by one.

Tecumseh is now 6-8 on the season and have won six of its last 10 games.

TRACK AND FIELD

Clinton, Hudson at Hillsdale: At Hillsdale, the Clinton girls won a pair of tight Lenawee County Athletic Association duals, beating Hillsdale, 61-60, and Hudson, 74-59.

The Tigers beat Hillsdale, 67-64.

Mykell Brodie won both the shot put (29-feet-3-inches) and discus (85-2) while Samantha Coots won the 400-meter (1:08.57) and was joined by Allison Bowles, Sarah King and Maliah Piatt to win the 4x800 (13:02.36).

Courtney Rodifer won the 3,200 (18:33.57) for Hudson while Emily Czeiszperger, Rylie Bloomer, Klara Wesley and Jayla Bright won the 4x400 (4:51.37). Czeiszperger added a win in the pole vault (10-0) and Cheyenne Eichler won the long jump (14-11.5).

On the boys side, Clinton beat Hudson, 73-64, while both lost to Hillsdale as Clinton lost, 94-42, and Hudson fell, 99.5-37.5.

The Redwolves were led by Mason Brodie's wins in the shot put (45-5.5) and discus (118-6) while Eric Neff's won in the 800 (2:15.32) and Gabe Nelson's won the 3,200 (10:32.28).

Steven Valdez led the Tigers as he won the 100 (11.44), 400 (52.81) and the long jump (20-1). Tristan Bolenbaugh, Angelo Moreno, Isaac St. John and Alex Czeiszperger won the 4x800 (9:42.27).

Onsted at Columbia Central: At Brooklyn, the Wildcats girls defeated the Golden Eagles in a LCAA dual, 93-39, while the boys lost a tight dual, 69-68.

Emmry Ross got wins in the 400 (58.48) and the 800 (2:27.15) while Kaylei Smith won the high hurdles (18.42) and the high jump (4-8) and Kennedy Ross won the intermediate hurdles (48.35) and the long jump (15-7). Alison England won the 3,200 (13:56.91).

Kate Gorney won the shot put (31-4.5), Taylor Boss won the discus (91-7) and Gretchen Gautz won the pole vault (6-feet). Onsted also won the 4x100 (54.98), 4x200 (1:51.29) and 4x800 (10:22.9).

On the boys side, Aiden Paquin won both the high hurdles (19.42) and the intermediate hurdles (45.04) while Connor Pustay won the 400 (55.39). Ayden Davis won the discus (112-feet), Bradley VanBrundt won the high jump (5-10) and Matt Cunningham won the pole vault (10-feet).

Lenawee Christian at SCAA East Division: At Pittsford, the Cougars boys and girls each took third in the South Central East Division jamboree.

LCS boys posted a team score of 93 to trail Hillsdale Academy (248) and Pittsford (131) while the girls scored 69 to trail Hillsdale Academy (233.5) and Pittsford (158.5).

Clay Ayers won the 100 (11.84) and 200 (23.72) and was joined by Elliott Addleman, Tristan Beagle and Brenner Powers to win the 4x100 (46.46) for the boys team. Addleman added a win in the long jump (20-7).

The girls won the 4x100 with Kelsie Lilly, Emerson Holsopple, Mya VanEtten and Isabell Kirkendall running a time of 55.49.

Blissfield at Ida: At Ida, the Royals boys and girls dropped a pair of LCAA duals to Ida and Dundee.

The girls lost to Ida, 90-41, and Dundee, 120-39, while the boys lost to Ida, 97-39, and Dundee, 140-28.

Annabelle Smith won the 100 (12.87), 200 (27.54) and long jump (16-8.5) and was joined by Layla Smith, Payton Tennant and Abby Gilmore to win the 4x100 (53.97).

Kassidy Lenz took second in the high jump (17-8) for the Blissfield boys.

BOYS GOLF

Blissfield, Clinton, Onsted at Hudson LCAA Jamboree: At Hudson, the LCAA teams took to Evergreen Golf Course where the Tigers defended their home course.

Hudson captured another LCAA jamboree win with a score 167 to top Clinton (170) and Blissfield (178). Onsted finished sixth with a score of 191.

Gabe Loop shot a 40 to lead the Tigers while Austin Marry and Logan Willis each shot 42 and Braden McMordie shot 43.

Clinton was led by Jacob Rothman at 41 while Jonathan Baughey shot 42, Nate Arntz shot 43 and George Ames shot 44.

Blissfield's Anthony Mingione was the medalist with a round of 38 while Elliott Strahan shot 41, Landon Pitts shot 48 and Pierce Swartz shot 51.

Onsted was led by Zander Brezval's 46 while Hunter Johncox and Robbie Six each shot 48 and Collin Gerken shot a 49.

Madison at East Jackson Invite: At Grass Lake, the Trojans took to the Calderon Golf Club as they took eighth in a deep field of 18 teams.

Madison shot 355, 39 shots off of Lansing Christian.

Cameron Boyzk tied for fifth as he shot a 78 while Chris Lamprecht-Carson shot 82, Mario Garcia shot 97 and Mykola Dowhaniuk shot a 98.

GIRLS SOCCER

Blissfield 5, Ida 2: At Blissfied, the Royals won their third-straight game as it topped the Bluestreaks in LCAA play.

Blissfield is now 7-6 on the season and 5-2 in LCAA play.

Onsted 7, Hillsdale 0: At Hillsdale, the Wildcats snapped a two-game losing streak and three-game LCAA skid as they crushed the Hornets.

The Wildcats (5-6, 2-5 LCAA) were led by Bailey Brandly as she scored four goals while Liz Hill scored two goals and had two assists. Gee Gee Savcic scored twice and had an assist while Ava Ruttkofsky had two assists and Emma Smith had an assist.

Clinton 9, Columbia Central 1: At Brooklyn, the Redwolves continued to dominate the LCAA as they moved to 12-1 on the season and 8-0 in the league.

Madalyn Freitas scored four goals to give her 170 in her high school career and 45 goals on the season. Her 170 goals puts among the five best scorers in MHSAA history.

Freitas added an assist while Aubrey Lauer had four goals and an assist and Zoey Sierer had a goal and two assists.

Anna Schaffner, Ruby Sierer and Alissa Duford all had an assist.
