Tecumseh to inducted first hall of fame class, Blissfield legends go into hall

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh will host its inaugural Tecumseh Athletics Hall of Fame Class Friday night during the homecoming game against Ypsilanti.

Two teams and four individuals will be part of the first ever class.

First to be introduced after the first quarter Friday will be Julie Anderson and Susie Brown, both 1976 graduates.

At the half, the 1972 state champion football and 1974 state champion girls basketball teams will be introduced.

After the third quarter, Marty Wallich (1981 graduate) and Andy Poppink (1991 graduate) will be introduced.

Blissfield will induct its 2022 class, which includes two legendary coaches.

Longtime baseball head coach Larry Tuttle, who holds the MHSAA wins record, will get his night and be inducted along with former cross country coach, Al Navarro, 1992 graduate Matt Ganun, 1997 graduate Melissa Porter, 2008 graduate Johnny Estes and longtime manager Phil Kerbawy.
