Ted Clark’s Busy Market in Waverly to close permanently at end of month

WAVERLY, N.Y. (WETM) – Ted Clark’s Busy Market will be closing permanently at the end of February, according to an announcement made by the business on Facebook Thursday evening.

The market announced on Thursday, Feb. 1, that it will be closing its doors on Thursday, Feb. 29. The market located on Broad St. has been family owned and operated since 1932.

“Running our unique store in recent years has been a constant challenge given the grocery market trends,” the owners said in the Facebook post. “Please know that we did everything we could and are proud to have served our community for over 92 years.”

The market will be accepting gift cards up to its closing date. The owners are urging those with gift cards to come in and use them before Feb. 29.

“We want to thank our wonderful customers for your patronage,” owners Tim and Kathy said. “We also thank our great employees for helping make Ted Clark’s Busy Market the friendliest place to shop in the Valley for so many years. We will truly miss you all.”
