Marks & Spencer has unveiled its Christmas advert for 2023, with the cast including stars from The Marvels, Ted Lassoand Queer Eye.

The retailer's annual advertisement has become something of a staple in the UK, and the latest offering doesn't disappoint, with the all-star roster including Hannah Waddingham, Zawe Ashton, Tan France and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

The clip, soundtracked by Ray BLK's cover of Meatloaf's iconic 'I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)', shows the group preparing festive decorations, before they start doing away with tradition.

Ellis-Bextor is shown torching a heap of Christmas cards, whilst France ruins the party by toppling a board game.

Ashton takes a swing at a garden gnome with a tube of wrapping paper, and Waddingham shreds a collection of crackers to create confetti.

The advert concludes with the Ted Lasso star looking sheepishly at the camera as she picks up the discarded gnome, with the message at heart being to "do only what you love" during the holidays.

"Getting glammed up and spending time with loved ones and family is something I look forward to the most, so filming this campaign really got me in the festive spirit," said Waddingham in a statement (via Little Black Book).

"I love celebrating Christmas with my kids and all the festivities that come with it (yes – even those homemade decorations!), and I'm so excited to share this campaign with them," added France, while Ashton said she was "delighted to be playing a part in the campaign this year" as the store has a "special place" in her heart.

"We've got so many Christmas traditions in our family, which we add to each year – it’s always busy for us, and I love it that way!" said Ellis-Bextor.

"Being able to be a part of one of the biggest TV ad campaigns of the year is so exciting, I can't wait to see it go live."

Marks & Spencer has also confirmed that customers can buy the items and outfits the stars wear in the commercial from today (November 1).

It's not the only festive project for Waddingham, with the actor set to front her own special on Apple TV+, Home for Christmas.

She'll be joined by special guests for a "musical extravaganza" at the London Coliseum, with the release date set for November 22.

Waddingham will also be the face of a new doll, with the likeness of her Ted Lasso character Rebecca Welton being used by Mattel for a Barbie celebrating the sports comedy-drama.
