Teen accused of forcing his way into Troup County homes, burglarizing them

A teen was arrested Tuesday morning in Troup County after residents told deputies he burglarized their homes.

Deputies with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 106 Wolverine Court to look for a reported prowler.

While responding to that call, a 911 call was received from 108 Wolverine Court reporting that someone had forcefully entered the home and ran away on foot after the residents were alerted.

Several deputies and investigators responded to the area to search for the suspect.

The suspect was identified as Tydarius Brown, 17.

He was located at about 8:15 a.m. at his home on Otter Lane.

Brown was arrested and taken to the Troup County Jail.

The sheriff’s office says this investigation is continuing as their Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating a number of cases where vehicles have been broken into in that general area since August 11.
