Teen bicyclist critically injured, hospitalized in Port St. Lucie crash
PORT ST. LUCIE — A teenager riding a bicycle was struck by a pickup and critically injured early Friday morning, Port St. Lucie police said.
The 17-year-old had been travelling through the intersection of Southeast Triumph Road and Southeast Veterans Memorial Parkway about 5:50 a.m., according to Sgt. John Dellacroce, public information officer.
The bicyclist was headed west on Truimph and a Ford Bronco was travelling north on the parkway when the collision happened.

The 59-year-old driver of the Bronco was driving to work and was not injured.
Dellacroce said the teen was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
The crash is under investigation by traffic homicide investigators, he said.
The agency did not release the names of those involved. No other information was available Friday.
