Teen charged after deadly shooting in Lewis County
LEWIS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 15-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the deadly shooting of one person and critical injuries to another in Hohenwald last week.
The shootings happened Friday morning at a home in the 300 block of Mt. View Road.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported agents were called to the home after receiving a report of two people being shot.

Agents found 28-year-old Van Franklin Cates dead from a gunshot wound at the home, according to a release. A female inside the home was also injured and flown to a Nashville hospital with critical injuries.
According to the TBI, investigators determined the teen boy was responsible for the shootings. He was taken to a juvenile holding facility Friday and charged with criminal homicide.
