Teen girl, 14, attacked by man in Brooklyn hallway after he exposed himself: police

A 14-year-old girl was captured on video fighting off a man who exposed himself to her in a hallway in Brooklyn, cops said.

The frighting afternoon attack happened Sunday just before 1 p.m. in a building on Foster Ave. near E. 3rd St. in West Midwood, authorities said late Monday.

Police said the young teen was waiting in the hallway when the man approached. He is seen in the surveillance video released by cops wearing a knit hat, surgical mask, dark clothes and carrying a backpack.

He approached the teen and exposed his penis, officials said. The 14-year-old tried to run, but the man grabbed her, covered her mouth and knocked her to the ground.

Video footage shows the man hunched over the teen in the brightly lit hallway, holding her down on the floor.

The teen kept fighting, and the man eventually fled the building. Outside he escaped on a moped, speeding along Foster Ave. towards McDonald Ave., police said.

The victim was not physically injured during the attack, authorities said. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
