Teen hospitalized with serious injuries after shooting in Newport News

A teenaged boy suffered serious injuries in a shooting in Newport News early Tuesday morning, police stated in a release.

Police responded to the 1100 block of 36th Street, in the Washington neighborhood, at about 12:52 a.m. following a report of a shooting.

At the scene, police located a teenage boy with life-threatening injuries. He is being treated at a local hospital.
