Teen injured after jet ski struck by lightning in Tampa
A 15-year-old teen riding a jet ski in was injured Monday afternoon when he was struck by lightning in Tampa, Fla.
The teen was rushed by Tampa Fire Rescue to the hospital after he was taken out of the water at the Davis Island Yacht Club around 3:40 p.m. He is currently recovering.
Witnesses said the weather changed suddenly and a storm rushed into the area and had to come to the teen’s rescue before paramedics arrived.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission later identified the teen as Mason Ryan Salustro, but did not provide any information about his condition, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
