Teen kills 13-year-old and calls for help getting rid of body, Pennsylvania cops say

A 16-year-old was arrested after he video called someone to ask for help removing the body of a girl he is accused of killing, according to Pennsylvania authorities.

The 16-year-old boy from Bensalem cleaned, reorganized and removed the firearms in his father’s safe on the morning of Friday, Nov. 25, the Bensalem Police Department said in court documents obtained by the Bucks County Courier Times.

A while later, a 13-year-old girl came over to the teen’s home and the two spent the afternoon watching Netflix, police said in court documents, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The teen boy Instagram video called an “acquaintance” and told her he had “just killed someone,” the acquaintance’s mother told police, according to a Nov. 26 news release. The teen flipped the camera to show ”the legs and feet of someone covered in blood.”

The acquaintance’s mother called 911 and reported the possible homicide, police said.

Police said they went to check the teen’s property and saw him run out the back of the mobile home when they arrived.

Officers entered the home and found the body of a girl dead on the bathroom floor with a gunshot wound, the release said. Police said “substantial steps were taken to clean up the crime scene.”

The teen told police that “it was an accident,” The Philadelphia Inquirer reported, citing the affidavit.

The teen was arrested and charged as an adult with criminal homicide, possessing instruments of crime and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, per the release. He was denied bail and sent to Edison Juvenile Detention Center. McClatchy News is not naming the teen because of his age.

The victim’s identity has not been released, the Courier Times reported. Her family identified her by the jewelry she was wearing when she was killed.

Bensalem is about 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border.
