Teen shot and killed in San Bernardino

Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was shot and killed last week in the city of San Bernardino.

The shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. on March 27 along the 1200 block of Acacia Avenue, officials said.

Officers from the San Bernardino Police Department responded to the scene following multiple reports of “juveniles shooting in the vicinity.”

When they arrived, they located the 14-year-old suffering from at least one gunshot wound. That unidentified teen was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

The investigation has been taken over by the Police Department’s homicide unit which officials say is “actively pursuing leads.”
