Have a teen in need of a summer job? Holiday World set to hire 2,200 for theme park

Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, the 125-acre theme park in Spencer County, Indiana, announced this week it is hiring 2,200 workers for its 2023 operating season.

The park draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to the facility, which has seen tremendous growth since its early days as Santa Claus Land starting in 1946.

Holiday World will host its first two virtual hiring events this Friday, Feb. 24, and Saturday, Feb. 25. For workers 16 and older, hourly wages start at $13.

Individuals must be at least 14 years old to apply, however, the majority of positions require individuals 16 or older. Adults seeking seasonal employment, such as retirees and teachers, are encouraged to apply.

During the virtual hiring events, prospective first-time employees will have 15-minute phone interviews with park management. Many departments fill positions early – especially for 14- and 15-year-olds, so interested candidates should visit HolidayWorld.com/Jobs to fill out an application and set up a phone interview.

Holiday World offers daily transportation for workers from Evansville and Owensboro, Kentucky.

Among the perks offered to employees:

• A personal Season Pass • 50% off food • 20% off merchandise • Employee parties with exclusive ride time • Free access to other amusement parks and attractions in the area • Earn points for tickets, food, and prizes • Two free uniforms
