Teen survivor hugs brother after Greece shipwreck

STORY: Last week, Fadi went to the port of Kalamata to search for his brother among those rescued, and on Friday (June 16) in an emotional scene he found his sibling and they spoke through a metal gate, as Mohammad was not allowed to leave the warehouse compound where authorities had sheltered him.

Later that day Mohammad was moved with the other survivors to a migrant reception center in Malakasa, outside Athens.

Witness accounts suggested between 400 and 750 people had packed the 65- to 100-foot long (20 - 30 meter-long) fishing boat that capsized and sank early on Wednesday morning about 50 miles from the southern coastal town of Pylos.

At least 78 deaths have been confirmed by authorities.
