Teen swerves into opposing lane, dies in crash, police say

A teen who swerved a car into the opposing lane was killed in a crash on Sunday, Cobb County Police say.

Donovan Williams, 19, of Dacula, Georgia was driving northbound on Chastain Meadows Parkway in Marietta just after 10 p.m. when he crossed into the southbound lane, crashing into a car, police say.

The driver’s side of Williams’ Honda Accord collided with the front of a Honda Insight, causing the Honda Accord to roll and come to an uncontrolled rest on its roof.

Two teenage passengers, David Gethers and Breyanna Johnson, also in the car with Williams, were transported to Wellstar Kennesaw Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the other car were not injured and declined to be transported to the hospital.
