Teenage boy critically wounded in shooting on Far South Side

A 17-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded Wednesday afternoon in a shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened about 3:55 p.m. in the 400 block of West 118th Street. Police said the victim suffered a wound to the chest, and was taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

No one was in custody, and police were investigating.
