May 4—HIGH POINT — A man and a 15-year-old boy were wounded while in a car along E. Green Drive in a drive-by shooting late Monday afternoon.

A group of men in a black Honda Pilot shot at the car in which the teenager and man were passengers just before 5:30 p.m. along E. Green in a section near Carter Street, Wesley Drive and Hill Street. An officer heard the shots while in the area on patrol, Lt. Matt Truitt of the High Point Police Department said.

"Several people started flagging him down," Truitt said. "About that time, we also started getting 911 calls."

The teenager was shot in the hand, while the 28-year-old man had a wound to the head behind his right ear that may have been caused by shrapnel from one of the gunshots, Truitt told The High Point Enterprise. The 26-year-old driver of the car wasn't injured.

Police don't think the shooting was random.

Names of the people involved in the incident weren't released.

Police were searching for the Honda Pilot.
