Democrat Voters Against Joe Biden is a project of an existing nonprofit advocacy group called Americans for Responsible Government, meaning it can engage in limited politicking and is not required to disclose its donors. Curiously, though it is not explicitly political, the group's online donation page includes disclaimer language required only of registered political committees advising donors that they can only donate $2,800 per election. No such donation limits exist for nonprofits.
Hurricane Sally brought devastating floods to the coasts of Alabama and the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday, with depths of five feet in some low lying areas. As the storm system moved inland to the northeast, it not only left a trail of damage and dangerous downed power lines, it also left a few natural dangers of which people should beware. WKRG meteorologist Thomas Geboy tweeted out footage of a 10-12 foot long alligator in the floodwaters outside a house in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
School Committeeman John Oliveira says he has built an electric fence around his Trump political lawn sign to keep people away after repeated thefts. Oliveira, 54, admits the electrified fence looks terrible and said his neighbors will probably complain, but he did it to protect his property in the city's West End from further thefts. “It hasn't been touched in two weeks since the electric fence went up,” he said.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga. an ally of President Trump, blamed George Soros on Fox News Wednesday for indirectly causing a recent rise in violence and property damage in some Democratic-run cities, claiming a slate of "progressive" district attorneys "overwhelmingly elected with George Soros' money" were letting criminals run wild. Soros funds a political action committee that has backed reformist DA candidates since 2016, with some success, but he is hardly the only financial backer, as Fox News reports.
A military whistleblower says federal officials sought some unusual crowd control devices — including one that's been called a “heat ray” — to deal with protesters outside the White House on the June day that law enforcement forcibly cleared Lafayette Square. In written responses to questions from a House committee, National Guard Maj. Adam DeMarco said the Defense Department's lead military police officer for the National Capital Region sent an email asking if the D.C. National Guard possessed a long-range acoustic device — used to transmit loud noises — or an “Active Denial System, the so-called heat ray. DeMarco said he responded that the Guard was not in possession of either device.

One person was confirmed dead, a number that is "not expected to change," said Thomas Kyle-Milward, a spokesperson for the Washington Department of Natural Resources.

TEL AVIV—Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed historic peace agreements on Tuesday during a festive ceremony at the White House presided over by President Donald Trump. Calling it “an important day for the world, [and] an important day for peace,” Trump took singular credit for the peace deals that had brought Israel and the Gulf Arab kingdoms together.

For those who have come to rely upon the hard earned benefit of Social Security, they're just not going to let the president take that away from them. Heading into the general election, there was some fear that Biden might neglect this approach. During and after the 2016 cycle, a number of Democrats were critical of Hillary Clinton's campaign for somewhat ceding the debate over “pocketbook” economic issues by engaging Trump on matters of decency, social policy, and respect for democratic governance.
