Temperature drop ahead

Much of the region got a nice change Tuesday with temperatures well into the 50s and even low 60s. That quickly changes Wednesday and through the remainder of the week when the highs will only reach into the 40’s. The pattern remains quiet through much of this week. All eyes have been on the potential for a coastal low developing and that still is in the cards, however at this point it remains far too east to have any significant impact on us. Right now, we are looking at the potential for light rain in the upstate and light snow across the mountains Friday afternoon and into the night. This could change, but right now overall impacts remain low for the Upstate, but a different story for the Northeast. However, a very cold weekend will follow, with sun but highs barely reach 40 for GSP and the 30s for the mountains.
