Victorville officials have scheduled a four-day traffic lane closure for the installation of water lines near Desert Valley Hospital.

Kelley’s Underground Construction will begin work, from Sunday, Sept. 3 through Wednesday, Sept. 6., along Second Avenue just north of Bear Valley Road.

The lane closures are scheduled from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3 and Monday, Sept. 4. Also, from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5 and 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6.

The two northbound lanes of Second Avenue will be closed, however, one northbound lane will be shifted and available adjacent to the lane closures.

Delays are expected. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to avoid the area if possible.

Those traveling in the vicinity are advised to use extreme caution and to obey all posted traffic signs, devices, and personnel, city officials said.
